    Simply incredible – the number of things that have to go right to make this video work is just mind-boggling, not to mention it’s all shot in one go.

    Footages of Dartmoor national park in Devon, southern England.

    The two films share some common scenes and shots, but evoke very distinct moods and atmosphere. One’s more ominous while the other is more nostalgic (strange that I’ve never been to England) with a sense of yearning. But your mileage may vary.

    • ]]>     Witness London in color from the year 1927. Apparently this is one of the rare films that were shot in color, rather than colorized after-the-fact. A breathtaking silent film.

    I really like Conan O’Brien and enjoy his work a lot, so I’m going to take his side on the whole Jay Leno / NBC / Conan debacle. It’s a shame that his chance at the Tonight Show didn’t last too long.

    If you’re not in a reading mood, watch Letterman try and explain this through his stream of consciousness:

    I’m not too worried about Conan though – he’s a real talent and wherever he decides to go, I’m sure he’ll do well.
