The haunting and nostalgic lands of Dartmoor

Apr 29 2010 Published by Vincent under art & design, videos

Footages of Dartmoor national park in Devon, southern England.

The two films share some common scenes and shots, but evoke very distinct moods and atmosphere. One’s more ominous while the other is more nostalgic (strange that I’ve never been to England) with a sense of yearning. But your mileage may vary.

London, 1927 – in its true colors

Feb 08 2010 Published by Vincent under art & design, videos

Witness London in color from the year 1927. Apparently this is one of the rare films that were shot in color, rather than colorized after-the-fact. A breathtaking silent film.
